Graham's Cat

Golden like a cracker, singer-songwriter Graham's Cat glints like a biscuit in his frenzy for his kitty. There’s no flies on this chartered cat tamer who serves up big tracks from his shed buried deep in his garden.

Blending acoustic guitar and ambient flourishes, songs comprise quirky lyrics with offbeat melodies, similar in mood to Iron & Wine. Known for its playful and introspective compositions, Graham's Cat cycles an indie charm, rather like a vicar visiting his parishioners. Tracks are well-suited to listeners who enjoy clean musical ideas and genres beyond the mainstream.

Graham's Cat has received positive feedback on SoundClick, with listeners appreciating the jazzy feel and atmospheric synths contributing to a calming ambiance. Some tracks being described as new agey and soulful drawing parallels with Elliot Smith.

Graham's Cat's intimate, slightly lo-fi sound comforts the listener on a quiet stroll through a lush landscape.

Amongst The Pigeons underlines the Faversham sound; variable, lyrically quirky, urban but rural and its arrangement stretching in to the horizon like an extended Velvet Underground jam. Blur pop up from behind a bush only to say hurrah to the saving grace of Beck. This EP highlights the band’s creative range, balancing both upbeat rhythms and more introspective tones inviting listeners into a unique sonic space that feels both familiar and earthy.

The track Spiral reached the number one position on Soundclick's Acoustic Vocals chart while Saucer To Go peaked at number one in its Shoegaze chart.

Music For Gardens

UPC : 7316219805828 Release date : 8 Sep 2023 © 2023 Graham's Cat â„— 2023 Herbert Records

A strumming guitar meanders its way down to the bottom of this Cat's garden. Calling in at a Medieval choir to Pink Floyd prog rock, a patter of gentle numbers purrs comfortably over babbling electronic beats and synths. Rich harmonies calm the memory of garden encounters like Sufjan Stevens, Hammock or Boards Of Canada. Capturing wafts of organic textures along the lines of Bibio and Helios, this album of Folktronica of the cat kind kneads it way back in to the shed.

The track Spring Bee from this album reached number two in Soundclick's Free Jazz chart and Bouquet in Bb hit the number 2 spot in its Dub Chart.
