The Basscamp Studios project was always about bringing together different permutations of freelance musicians to a small studio a short train-ride from London.

The collaboration between studio musicians, producers and engineers showcases the range of music genres encompassed at the Basscamp stable.
Singer Stan Martin set up the mental health charity Maritime Music using music as a therapy. Percussionist Emitt Kyle emigrated to China. He now lives in California and is a successful abstract artist.

This album presents the best of the year-long project providing the bedrock from which its artists have had success with other ventures. Ian Ellis and Dean Hockridge produced a dub remix of Iyeoka’s song ‘Simply Falling’ which picked up over 12,000 plays on Soundcloud.

Collectively influences range from the EDM of DJ Andrew Weatherall to the reggae of King Tubby. Also blending noughties lounge jazz and pub rock, Basscamp Studios is a various artists production.
